Special Needs

Children with special needs share many of the same kinds of problems as typically developing children, and can benefit from the movement learning opportunities in a Child’Space session.

 Here is a list of some diagnoses, for which children have benefitted through the Child’Space Method:

  • Premature birth and prematurity
  • Dfficulties crawling
  • Difficulties tummy time
  • late walking or other “missed milestones”
  • Digestion and eating problems
  • Difficulties breastfeeding.
  • club foot
  • Asymmetry of the body (torticollis)
  • Increased muscle tone (hypertonia)
  • Low muscle tone (hypotonia)
  • sensitivity to touch
  • plagiocephaly
  • hip dysplasia
  • brachial plexus injury
  • cerebral palsy
  • spina bifida
  • brain injury
  • Attention and  communication 
  • Learning disabilities – ADD/ADHD
